Ignou On-Demand examination – The Indira Gandhi National Open University provides an outstanding facility for all its bonafide and eligible students to appear in the term-end examinations according to the date which is convenient for them.

Students can register for On-Demand examination to appear for examinations in various courses as per their convenience and preparation without waiting for the regular June and December term end examinations.

Several times the students failed to appear in the regular term end exams for various reasons or they have to pass the programme early for future career advancements.

The examination form can only be filled online through its official website at www.ignou.ac.in. The eligible students can register for On-Demand Examination Online from anywhere at any time.

The Ignou On-Demand exam scheme is available for selective courses and programmes and at few regional centres. The exams are conducted once in a week.The students have the facility to choose the date convenient to him/her to appear in the examinations.

To appear in the exams, the eligible students need to register and make the fee payment Online specifying the courses for which they have to appear.The confirmation of the registration for the exams will depend on the availability of space at the Regional Centres to conduct examinations.

The students can check the confirmation of the exam registration online and download the hall ticket.

The On-Demand Exam scheme launched by the university is a very innovative idea for the students who could not find the time or not available to appear in exams of all the courses of a program during regular term end exams in one go.

Under this scheme of examination, the students who have completed the minimum stipulated study period and also completed and submitted their assignment work can choose the date of examination as per their convenience.

This is a great advantage for those who have failed or could not make to appear in any paper for some reason or the other.

Eligibility to Appear in On-Demand Exam

Already registered student of IGNOU for a programme being offered by the University, has the option to appear in the On-Demand Exam provided the student has completed the minimum eligibility time and has valid registration period.

The eligible students can appear in the examination through ODES as per their wish and preparation as and when they feel ready for the examination, subject to availability of the seats on the day of his/her choice at the On-Demand Exam center and also the availability of the question bank in that particular course.

The university has started the On-Demand exams scheme with two certificate level programmes.But now more than thirty programmes with one hundred and thirty-five courses are being covered under this scheme of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU).

The programmes for which On-Demand exams are conducted by university are as follows :

Bachelor Preparatory Programme (BPP), Bachelor of Tourism Studies (BTS),Bachelor of Commerce(B.Com), Bachelor of Social Work (BSW), Bachelor of Arts (Economics) (BA-Eco), Bachelor Technology in Mechanical Engineering (BTME), Master of Commerce(M.Com), Masters of Arts- Tourism Management (MTM), Eighteen Application Oriented Courses of Bachelors Degree Programme (BDP).There are few Certificate and Diploma programmes as well under this scheme : Advanced Certificate in Power Distribution Management (ACPDM), Certificate in Business Skills (CBS), Certificate in Consumer Protection (CCP), Certificate in Environmental Studies (CES), Certificate in Nutrition and Child Care (CNCC), Certificate in Guidance (CIG), Certificate in Teaching of English as a Second Language (CTE), Certificate in Organic Farming (COF), Certificate in HIV and Family Education (CAFE), Foundation Course on Education of Children with Disability(FCED), and Certificate in Tourism Studies (CTS),Diploma in HIV and Family Education (DAFE), Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education (DECE), Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education (DNHE), Diploma in Tourism Studies (DTS), and Post Graduate Diploma in Food Safety and Quality Management (PGDFSQM). The university is trying its best to include many more programmes under this scheme.

Available Regional Centres:

The IGNOU On Demand Exams are not conducted in all regional centres.The On-Demand exam scheme is fully operational in 18 regional centres for more than 135 courses.The regional centres in which exams are conducted are mentioned below as : Delhi-I, Delhi-II, Jaipur,Karnal, Madurai, Chennai, Cochin, Ranchi, Bhubneshwar, Aizwal, Jabalpur, Koraput, Jammu, Hyderabad, Dehradun.

The university publish the On Demand exam result soon after the term end exam conduction process is completed.The result information is published by university on the official website of IGNOU.
