Ignou MA English admission – The Indira Gandhi National Open University offers admission to its master degree programme in the field of English Literature i.e. Master of Arts in English in both January and July academic cycles of admission.

The university offers the master degree course in English literature under School of Humanities (SOH).The latest admission advertisement is published in the local daily newspapers. It is also published on the website in the month of October-November for January session and in the month of May-June for July session.

Objective:

The objective is to provide the learners an opportunity to pursue their higher studies in the field of English literature. It also imparts the students with the sound knowledge of English and American literature. The programme introduces the courses related to areas in literature such as Canadian, Australian and Indian English.

This course also provides an opportunity to the learners to apply for teaching jobs in schools and colleges as an English Tutor. To study this course, one must have good understanding or knowledge of reading, comprehension and written skills in English.

Fee Structure:

The learners have to pay Rs. 9,000/- as a total fee for complete discipline which has to be paid year wise @Rs.4,500/- per year. The fees will not be refunded once paid under any circumstances and also it will not be adjusted against any other programme of Ignou.

However, the fee will be refunded after deduction of the processing fee, if any, through A/c Payee Cheque only in the case if the University denies admission.

Admission Procedure:

The Ignou MA English is one of the most demanding distance master degree courses in India and abroad in which students want to take admission. As we mentioned earlier, the admission is provided in January and July sessions.

Admission at Regional Centres:
